March Madness

A winner never whines.  ~ Paul Brown

There is so much going on in my life right now. I am preparing to undergo surgery, someone very close to me is watching her son make his transition, one of my best friends is receiving chemotherapy, and another best friend’s 84-year-old mother will be having surgery next month. I would love to be there to support others during their challenges; however, right now I must focus on my own health and healing. How we choose to handle life’s experiences can make us or break us? We all have the power within our being to cope with whatever comes our way. One of the things I have chosen to do is not judge anything as good or bad. We have no control over things which occur in our lives but we do have the ability to choose the perspective. I choose not to be a victim. I choose not to feel sorry for myself or others. I recently came across a little statement that I embraced immediately. I won’t attempt to quote it. In essence it said….if we all put our problems in a pile and saw everyone’s else, we would quickly take ours back. Just like the basketball tournament, all we can do is get in the game and play to win.

Thank you for sharing this sacred space with me.

Peace & Blessings,

Rev. Sheila
